eReleases vs. BrandPush: Wire or Publishing Network?

Compare eReleases' wire distribution with BrandPush's package-specific news-site publishing and proof of placement.

eReleases and BrandPush emphasize different routes to visibility. eReleases describes PR Newswire-based national distribution and editorial review. BrandPush sells packages that publish approved content across a specified news-site network and provide live placement links. These are not interchangeable promises: a wire circuit, a syndicated web copy, and an independently reported story should each be described by its own name.

Identify the deliverable

On eReleases, ask which PR Newswire national, local, and industry circuits apply to the exact package, and whether direct reporter emails or writing are included. On BrandPush, inspect the selected package's publication destinations, approval rules, turnaround, writing option, and example reporting. A site shown in a network illustration may not publish every release, so request the terms for that package.

Look beyond the logos. Open example links and inspect the page format and attribution. A copy of a customer-supplied release on a partner site is useful as a record of publication but should not be presented as an independent endorsement. Ask how an error can be corrected on both the provider page and syndicated copies.

Audience

Name the geography and subject specialists who actually need the news.

Content

Specify final length, images, quotes, links, disclosure, and any sensitive claims.

Timing

Confirm review time, scheduling, and what happens if an item is declined.

Evidence

Require live URLs and separate delivery, publication, and earned media in the report.

Choose by purpose

A team that needs a national wire may favor a suitable eReleases circuit. A team seeking a set of confirmed published copies may consider a BrandPush package. Neither option replaces reporter outreach when the objective is an independent article, and neither can make a promotional claim true by distributing it widely.

Measure useful visits, inquiries, and independent responses alongside placements. AMEC's framework distinguishes outputs from outcomes. PRSA's ethics guidance calls for accurate representation. Check both official package pages at purchase time, since partners, editorial rules, and prices can change.
