Fintech covers many different businesses, from payment infrastructure to financial-compliance software. This selected 2024 list records specific announced rounds rather than ranking companies by promise or treating funding as proof of product success. The figures retain their reported currencies and stages. A 2024 announcement is a historical snapshot, not a statement about a company's present valuation or regulatory status.
Documented 2024 fintech announcements
Prometeo — $13 million Series A
Antler reported a January 2024 Series A for the Uruguay-based financial-data and payments infrastructure company, led by Antler Elevate with participation from other named investors.
Spektr — €5 million funding
Seedcamp announced in February 2024 that the Copenhagen fintech had launched with €5 million to develop ongoing due-diligence tools for financial-services teams. The source does not label this amount as a Series A.
Griffin — $24 million extended Series A
Seedcamp's 2024 year-end review reported an extended Series A round for the banking-as-a-service company. This is distinct from a pre-seed or total-lifetime funding figure.
Yonder — £23.4 million round
The same investor review reported a 2024 funding round for the credit-card fintech and described plans for European expansion. The amount is in pounds sterling, not dollars.
Compare the facts, not just the headline
An investor post may quote the value of a single financing, the company's cumulative financing, or a mix of equity and other instruments. Check exactly which one it describes. The Prometeo and Spektr posts are individual 2024 announcements; Seedcamp's year-end summary groups several portfolio events. These are different source types and should not be merged into a count of all fintech funding.
A company operating in lending, payments, insurance, or banking may face different licensing and data obligations. An announcement about capital raised does not verify authorization to serve a particular market. If regulatory status matters to your decision, consult the relevant current register or the company directly. This page is a historical research starting point, not investment or compliance advice.
How to use a funding shortlist
Record the issuer, announcement date, country, business category, financing stage, original currency, and intended use. Follow each link and look for later corrections or new rounds before describing the business as recently funded. Use current product and company records for present-day details; a plan stated in 2024 may have changed.
The four examples were selected because a named investor documented the funding. They are not the largest, fastest-growing, or best-performing fintech companies of the year. A more complete market study needs a defined geography, transaction threshold, stage, and data source, plus a treatment of undisclosed rounds. Keeping those boundaries visible makes the list more useful than an inflated league table.
