Pre-seed labels are not used consistently across every investor or database. This selected list includes companies whose own announcement or an investor's release identified a 2024 pre-seed investment. It is not a ranking, a complete market census, or investment advice. Amounts retain the currencies used in the original announcements; a later seed round should not be silently counted as part of the pre-seed amount.
Four announced pre-seed investments
Birl — £500,000
Baltic Ventures reported on November 26, 2024 that its fashion-recommerce portfolio company Birl had raised a £500,000 pre-seed round to support growth.
Sable Bio — £1.5 million
Seedcamp announced participation in a £1.5 million pre-seed round for the UK drug-discovery data company on February 6, 2024.
Enapi — €2.5 million
Seedcamp reported a €2.5 million pre-seed financing on March 19, 2024 for Enapi's electric-vehicle charging interoperability work.
Tracktile — $575,000 Canadian
Tracktile announced a $575,000 pre-seed round on July 31, 2024 for manufacturing-operations software. Its company page and contemporaneous reporting identify the amount as Canadian dollars.
Read each round on its own terms
The announcement date is not always the cash-closing date, and the headline figure may mix equity, grants, or other support. Check the linked release for that distinction. A company's location, capitalization, leadership, and product status can change after the announcement. This list records what was announced in 2024, not what the companies are worth today or whether their products achieved the plans stated at the time.
A pre-seed label describes a stage chosen by the issuer or its investor. It is not a regulatory classification and does not imply a standard valuation or investor right. For example, Siloton's 2024 £860,000 announcement describes a second investment round, and other directories call it seed. It should not be added to a pre-seed list solely because it appeared in an older roundup under that heading.
Use the list as a research starting point
For each company, note the investor, instrument if disclosed, original date, currency, and intended use of funds. Seek filings or the company's current statement when a material fact matters. Compare businesses only after normalizing sector and stage; a health-technology company and a software platform may face very different capital needs and development timelines.
This is a deliberately small, source-linked selection. It does not claim to identify the largest or best-performing 2024 rounds. The linked investor and company posts preserve the contemporaneous wording, while current company pages should be used for present product and team details.
