PPC campaign performance

Use one campaign and reporting period. Count unique converting clicks for the conversion-rate figure.

ROAS is revenue divided by ad spend, not profit. Platform conversions may include multiple actions per click, while this form uses unique converting clicks.

Four useful PPC calculations

Average CPC is spend divided by recorded clicks. Converting-click rate is converting clicks divided by all clicks, multiplied by 100. Cost per converting click is spend divided by converting clicks. ROAS is attributed revenue divided by ad spend. With $1,200 spent, 600 clicks, 40 converting clicks, and $4,000 attributed revenue, these measures are $2 CPC, 6.67% converting-click rate, $30 per converting click, and 3.33 times ROAS.

Do not mix denominators

A platform may count several conversion actions from one click, include modeled conversions, or assign credit across multiple campaigns. This simple calculator deliberately asks for unique converting clicks so the rate cannot exceed 100%. If you need platform-defined conversion actions, use its own metric definition and compare like-for-like periods.

From performance to profit

Clicks and conversions do not reveal customer quality, returns, product cost, or overhead. A high ROAS can coexist with negative profit. Use the PPC ROI calculator with a contribution margin and fuller investment cost to explore a profit-oriented scenario. Allow for conversion delay and check the attribution window before judging a new campaign.
