FASTECH marked the completion of the Tri-gen energy facility at Toyota Logistics Services in Long Beach in an announcement carried by NewswireJet on November 10, 2023. The company described itself as the contractor of record for construction. FASTECH's own November 7 release and project case study confirm that it worked on the plant for FuelCell Energy.
The system uses a fuel-cell process to produce electricity, hydrogen, and usable water from directed biogas. Toyota and FuelCell Energy reported a 2.3-megawatt electricity capacity and described how the outputs would support the port vehicle-processing site and nearby hydrogen-fueling activity. These specifications describe the announced facility; they are not a measured lifetime emissions or savings result.
FASTECH said its construction work covered site preparation, structures, and mechanical and electrical connections through startup and commissioning. It also reported no lost-time safety incidents during its time on site. That safety statement is the contractor's account, not an independent audit of the project's entire construction history.
