He became one of many victims of Burgerim’s unethical and misleading franchise practices, which drove him to sever ties with the company.

Mark Bastorous, a former territory owner with Burgerim, has come forward to clarify his involvement with the company and address recent misunderstandings. Mark emphasized that he was a victim of the company’s predatory business model and was misled by the franchise’s leadership, who falsely promised a sustainable business opportunity but failed to deliver on key obligations.

In 2018, Mark purchased the territory rights for the state of Florida under the impression that he was investing in a legitimate, growing franchise. However, it soon became clear that Burgerim's practices were unethical. The company consistently failed to provide the essential support, training, and resources necessary to open and successfully operate the promised locations.

As the issues with Burgerim escalated, Mark realized the true nature of the franchise. “This isn’t a sustainable franchise; they’re just after the franchise fee,” said Mark. The company's focus was on selling territory rights and collecting fees rather than building a solid, functional franchise network.

Mark’s involvement with Burgerim was strictly limited to his role as a territory owner. He was not involved in the company’s leadership or decision-making processes and was, in fact, one of the many individuals adversely impacted by the mismanagement of Burgerim’s owner. Like numerous other franchisees, Mark found himself in an unsustainable situation due to the company’s empty promises and failure to uphold their end of the agreements.

In early 2019, recognizing the unsustainable business practices, Mark decided to terminate his agreement with Burgerim and sever ties with the company. Instead of receiving the compensation he was owed, the company’s attorneys falsely accused him of violating the contract, despite the company's failure to provide evidence of such.

Mark remains focused on distancing himself from the fraudulent practices of Burgerim and moving forward with integrity. As a victim of the company’s mismanagement, he is committed to continuing his work in ventures that align with his values of transparency and ethical business practices.
